Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming, while promoting dignity, privacy, and independence.
Administer medications accurately and according to prescribed schedules, while maintaining proper documentation and adhering to safety protocols.
Monitor residents' health and well-being, including vital signs, mobility, and nutritional intake, and promptly report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
Engage residents in meaningful social activities, recreational programs, and outings to promote mental stimulation, companionship, and a sense of community.
Assist residents with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, ensuring dietary preferences, restrictions, and nutritional needs are met.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role within a nursing home or assisted living facility is preferred.
Certification or training as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent is desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately and effectively with elderly residents, families, and colleagues.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for caring for the elderly population.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and adapt to the evolving needs of residents and the facility.
Basic proficiency in computer skills for documentation purposes.
